The Sales Hunter, Mark Hunter, writes a blog called the Sales Motivation Blog. He is also the author of “A Mind for Sales and High-Profit Prospecting: Powerful Strategies to Find the Best Leads and Drive Breakthrough Sales Results.”

One of his recent blog posts describes how to write the perfect prospecting email. According to Hunter, there are seven steps to writing perfect prospecting emails:

  • Check your subject.
  • Send it to yourself
  • Don’t waste the first sentence.
  • Keep your introduction short.
  • Confirm your expertise.
  • Don’t give them an out.
  • Consider whether to include your website or company logo.
