Today, Tuesday, September 11 is the 11th anniversary of the terrorists attacks that took the lives of nearly 3,000 people.
On this anniversary, by presidential proclamation, please observe a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. (EDT) this morning to honor those innocent victims.
And if you’re in the area, I encourage you to visit 9/11 Commemorations and Memorials to learn about 9/11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance; get information about memorials in New York, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pa.; and read about continuing security efforts and emergency planning.
