Definitely one of those stories I just included ’cause it was neat. It’s about the U.S.S. Wasp and the technology on board. According to the article, the flight control station of the Wasp has a big, black telephone with a big, black spiral cord attached, but yet Iridium satellite hookups mean that the Wasp can sail around the globe and never encounter a dead zone. Pretty interesting stuff.

2012 Online Newsroom Survey Says: Journalists Expect it
Speaking of press releases, TEKGROUP released the results of a national survey highlighting the importance of creating a content rich and up-to-date online newsroom. Close to 100 percent of journalists said online newsrooms are a must. More than 50 percent of journalists said they are visiting your online newsroom once a week and 64 percent are stopping by on a monthly basis.

It’s a Kinder, Gentler World Online
According to the Pew Internet and American Life Project, 85 percent of adults using social networking sites say that their experience online is that people are mostly kind, compared with 5 percent who say people they observe on the sites are mostly unkind and another 5 percent who say their answer depends on the situation.
